This blog is made with Astro. Was thinking of using SvelteKit, but Astro handles markdown with a lot less work, and I can still use Svelte if needed (I’ve given up on React. Felt it was too hard on my brain after building a few sites with it.).
Used the Astro-Paper theme, so far without doing much in terms customizing. Hoping I don’t need to fiddle with the design of the site and can just focus on content.
Midjourney v6 was just recently released and image quality has dramatically improved since v1.
Midjourney version 1 was released in February 2022.

Meanwhile, it’s been nearly a year since I followed a tutorial using Google Collab and training photos of myself and friends. It was cumbersome, and I didn’t quite know what I’d do with the photos. Now that I’ve got some time after getting laid off, and seeing projects (PhotoAI.com and InteriorAI.com) from solo founder, levels.io, making something $2 million/year, I figure it’s time to start revisiting what can be done with generative ai.
I don’t plan on starting from scratch, but rather use available APIs to see if I can develop some simple, but useful tools for people to use. I’ll do my best to share my notes and document the process as I go along.
